What is right? Ask the Lord!
- For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18
- The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 2:14
- With all my heart I have sought You; Do not let me wander from Your commandments. Your word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against You. Psalm 119:10-11.
Lie: “His sin is the worst! Its impossible to forgive a sin like that and still be married. That’s your “way out” of the marriage.”
- “I promise you that any of the sinful things you say or do can be forgiven, no matter how terrible those things are. But if you speak against the Holy Spirit, you can never be forgiven. That sin will be held against you forever.” Mark 3:28-29
- “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Matthew 5:27-28
- “It was also said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.’ But I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except on the ground of sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.” Matthew 5:31-32
Lie: “It’s your fault. You didn’t take care of his physical needs therefore he had to go somewhere else.”
- Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

Lie: “You will always be alone. You are not worthy of a husband. Told you God didn’t love you.”
- Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? Romans 8:32
- “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5
- “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” Jeremiah 31:3
Lie: “He will never change. God will not restore this marriage. He is too far gone.”
- Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8
- Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!” Luke 1:45
- …being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Phil 1:6
Lie: “He’s dead. That was all a waste of time. 7 years in the toilet. What do you have to show for it now?”
- For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
- He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. 2 Corinthians 2:14
- And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:3-5
- They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. Revelation 12:11
